Policy and Procedure
Registration Fee

There is a $30 (per student) non-refundable registration fee are due upon sign up and renewed every year. We will waive registration fee for the second child of the family. All registration forms without payment is not valid

Payment Options

We accept cash and check only. Payment can be made monthly, quarterly or yearly. Payment in advance for 1 quarter - 3 % discount (family 6 %) 2 quarters - 4 % discount (family 8 %) 3 quarters/full year (10 months) - 5 % (family 10 %)

Tuition

All Payments are due on 1st week of the month. After 10th of the month late fee of $25 will be assessed.A charge of $35 will be added on any returned check.

We DO NOT prorate for not having class due to holidays or our school calendar.We DO NOT give refunds for classes not attended. We only DO prorate of fee if you start classes after the 15th of the month

Cancellation

Upon being registered, the student will remain on the roster until the end of the semester. If you decided to withdraw your child from the school prior to the end of the semester, please let us know in advance by writing a letter to Ms. Olga before the 10th of the month you wish to withdraw, in order to stop the payments. Payments will cease on the following month.

Drop Off / Pick Up

We ask you to drop off your child with 10-15 min before class for warming up before class.Please be on time to pick up your child after their class. We aren’t responsible to watch them after class time is finished, as we have many children coming in and out to take care of.

Injuries

If injured during a class, students are required to immediately inform the teacher so that appropriate action can be taken. In addition, the students and parents are also required to notify the school of any existing injuries prior the commencement of each class. An appropriate level of class taken will then be determined. Students are required to observe classes.

Annual Performance

All new students who sing up before February 1, 2020, will be required to participate in the Annual Spring Performance. We order costumes in January and put a deposit on the venue in February. Deadline for students are one payment of $200 due on January 31, 2020 (NO REFUNDS will be given after costumes are ordered).  The penalty fee of $25 will be added if not paid on time. Performance fee covers the venue, buying costumes, rental costumes and props, stage crew, rehearsal time, guest dancers etc.

Participation in spring performance will be based on the approval of the Artistic Director. Only students with a commendable attendance record will be permitted to participate in our Annual Spring Performance. We will have more than one performance per year and those students who will be selected to participate in additional performances will be charged $100 extra (per event) .The competition performances and the costume rent have a  separate fee.

 

 

Rehearsals

Students who miss more than THREE rehearsal will be withdrawn from the performance. If rehearsal is missed due to illness, a doctor’s note is required.The rehearsal schedule will be announced by the email or letters.

Dress Code

Ballet class:  Pink tights, Accordingly level color of leotard, clean pink ballet shoes.

Contemporary class: Black leotard, nude tights, dance shoes.

Yoga and Gymnastic class: Dark leggings or shorts, any color of leotard. The student is required to bring their mat.

Dress Requirement

ALL STUDENTS should arrive and leave with appropriate clothing covering their dance attire. Also, all students must wear street shoes when coming to the school. Students are expected to change ballet shoes to appropriate shoes when leaving ballet school.

HAIR. All girls should pull their hair tightly back from face in a bun at all times so as not to interfere with vision or movements during their class.

 

                   

Student Conduct

All students should be respectful to one another, to their teachers, and the school staff.

The teachers will address their concerns with any student regarding attitude, discipline or overall conduct that is unsatisfactory. Students should demonstrate a respect for property by maintaining clean dressing room. There is no eating or drinking (with the exception of water) in the dressing room, ballet room or in the lobby.Please do not enter the classroom while music is being played. Once you enter, greet the teacher and wait to be placed.

Absences

Students are expected to notify the school of all absences in advance . We will notify the appropriate teacher. Excused absences are accepted for: medical or family emergency, illness or injury.

Level Placement

Returning and new students will be placed in a class accordingly to their age and experience. All age recommendations and level placements are at the discretion of the Olga’s Russian Ballet School and subject to the approval of the School Artistic Director.
